A Small Selection of Our Environmental Products
Not Disposable! While we have so many recycled and eco-friendly products in our store, we hope you will enjoy seeing some of them on these pages. Our original design, 100% organic USA cotton shirt ($21), shows our earth in the process of disintegrating through global warming or depletion of our fossil fuels (your choice!). It reminds the wearer and viewer that the earth is NOT DISPOSABLE, but requires our care as we pass it on to future generations. Also shown is a recycled rice bag messenger bag ($34.50) and two styles of kid's eco-friendly lunch bags ($15 & $20). Please check out our current designs and styles available in our online store at www.CertifiablyCivil.org
Think Green! We think kid's toys should be ecologically safe and healthy! That's why we carry a huge variety of supercute stuffed animals, all made from recycled plastic water bottles ($8/$15/$19/$35).We also carry infant and small kid's extra-comfy shoes made from recycled and eco-friendly materials (0-6 months/6-12 months/12-18 months, $29). We are excited to be living in a time where we are finally coming out of a period of great environmental harm and abuse. Don't you wish we had listened to Havelock Ellis 90 years ago when he said that "The sun, the moon and the stars would have disappeared long ago... had they happened to be within the reach of predatory human hands." All of our merchandise for youth and kids meets the standard of products that seek to return this planet in better shape to those who come after us...and you should see our recycled wood toys!
Winter in Warmth! Check out these wonderful mittens made from remnants of sweaters from the famous Winona Mills factory. In this case, not only is discarded material recycled, each mitten (three sizes) is lovingly hand made by developmentally disabled adults. And the price is a spectacular $10.55 per pair. Nonetheless, it is good to remember the words of Plutarch when he says that "nothing is cheap which is superfluous, for what one does not need, is dear at a penny." Apart from a very few places in our country, mittens are rarely superfluous!
